How do I schedule an appointment?

Will insurance cover the cost of my therapy sessions?

I am an “out of network” provider.  This means that I do not bill directly to insurance. Some insurance companies will reimburse you for a percentage of the cost of therapy. In these instances, I will provide a superbill to you, so that you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement or to count toward a deductible. Contact your insurance company and ask, “what are my out of network mental health benefits?”.

How often will we meet?

After our initial appointment, we will find a weekly time that works consistently for your schedule.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I require 24 hours notice. The full session fee will be charged if 24 hours notice isn’t given.

What if we get started, and I just don’t feel comfortable with you?

If you don’t feel comfortable with me, I will gladly help you find someone who is a better fit to suit your needs.  It is my job to be helpful, not to trap clients with me. Research has revealed that feeling connected to your therapist impacts your progress in therapy.

What if my spouse doesn't want to come to therapy with me?

It’s hard to desire change in your relationship when your spouse isn’t ready for therapy. I use a systemic framework that allows us to look at your experience in your relationship, evaluate what types of things may contribute to relationship distress, and slow down the parts that feel overwhelming or stuck.
